Sheamus has had his first interview since making his WWE exit public. ‘The Celtic Warrior’ briefly chatted with Adam Glyn and he was asked about Tom Brady‘s potential jump to WWE.

Sheamus immediately brought up Brady’s recent altercation with Logan Paul at the NYC Fanatics Fest, where ‘TB12’ slapped ‘The Maverick’ on the stage.

The Irishman, who has had a reputation of being one of the most physically dominant wrestlers in WWE, said Brady needs to work on his slap. Sheamus obviously wasn’t impressed by the 7-time Super Bowl champion’s effort, saying, “What are you doing here, fella? If you’re going to hit somebody, hit somebody. You know what I’m saying?”

Disappointed with Brady’s viral slap on Paul, the ‘Fella’ still believed that the retired NFL quarterback would end up in WWE at some point. Sheamus attributed it to the immense growth of the sports entertainment business with multiple celebrities willing to dip their toes in that pool. TMZ Sports has already reported that Tom Brady has been talking with WWE.

The possibility of Brady having a match in WWE has only grown of late. The NFL icon recently urged WWE president Nick Khan to come up with a storyline for his debut and revealed he’d prefer to play a bad guy on WWE television. Immediately after hitting Sheamus with the Tom Brady question, Glyn wondered whom ‘The Great White’ would pick as the future of WWE.

The 48-year-old said Oba Femi would be an obvious name on that list. Sheamus also brought up Trick Williams in that conversation. After putting some more thought into it, the former Brawling Brutes leader affirmed Ilja Dragunov could also be a hit if given an opportunity to prove himself. Sheamus deemed Dragunov as someone he wanted to wrestle.

Sheamus talks about life after leaving WWE

Earlier this month, the bombshell of Sheamus leaving WWE saw the light of the day and it caught everyone off guard. Having had such a decorated 19-year-career with the Stamford-based promotion, many believe he’s a sure-shot WWE Hall of Famer and a true trailblazer in making wrestling more believable every time he had a match with someone.

The 4-time world champion was reportedly asked to accept a pay cut under TKO’s policy of restructuring deals. His contract will expire on October 1, and he’ll be a free agent straight away without bothering about the usual 90-day non-compete clause as he didn’t get released. ‘The Celtic Warrior’ was asked about what exactly went down between him and WWE that led to his departure.

In the aforementioned chat on Adam’s Apple, Sheamus cited some circumstances arose that he couldn’t talk about. However, he iterated 19 years to be a long time for a career.

The ‘Fella’ stated he left his home country of Ireland in 2007 and not really having had a chance to meet his family and friends over there as frequently as would’ve wanted. So he’s finally getting to catch up on birthdays and every other missed opportunity.

Sheamus also said he has absolutely no regrets about not being able to win the Intercontinental Championship and thought he still had a great career regardless of that. Speaking of which match broke the glass ceiling for him in WWE, Sheamus turned to the incredible ladder match he had with John Morrison back at TLC 2010. It remains one of his favorite matches ever.
