Tom Brady had a conversation with Cody Rhodes live at the Fanatics Fest. The retired legendary NFL quarterback was asked whether his itch to be in front of people and him still getting chills walking out to his NFL song would take him to WWE. Brady started laughing and said he needed to get an invite.
The 7-time Super Bowl Champion said he’d been waiting for the WWE president Nick Khan to come up with some sort of a storyline to get him in the mix. Being retired from football, Brady thought he could still go out there and showcase he has a little bit of an athlete left in him.
‘Tom Terrific’ recalled his former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski dipping his toes in WWE. The part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders then brought up Logan Paul being in the pro wrestling business. It made him realize that he could also have at least one match in WWE. Brady urged Nick Khan to make it happen.
I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football and I have an opportunity to go out there, still showcase I’m a little bit of an athlete. My boy Gronk’s done it. I’ve seen Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match. Come on, Nick. Make it happen.

Brady was further asked by Rhodes what he would prefer between being a babyface and a heel if he were to go down that route. The 5-time Super Bowl MVP was quick to assert that he’d love to be a bad guy. He explained his choice by talking about his NFL career and what constantly drove him in an away setting.
The 48-year-old remembered when he’d play in visiting stadiums with basically everyone in the stands against him and his teammates. Forcing a big chunk of those fans to leave the place with like three minutes left on the clock was when he used to think, “Job well done for the day.” It felt to him like a badge of honor, and that’s what he was motivated for doing every time he took on the field.
It’s why Tom Brady said while responding to Cody Rhodes that he’s always been a bad guy. ‘TB12’ is well aware of his natural traits, and this could benefit him in the world of WWE should things materialize for him to be in that setting one day. He was rumored for a WrestleMania appearance this year. WWE and Brady were said to be discussing a potential collaboration at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
However, in hindsight, the talks fell through. WWE had even created specialty merchandise featuring the iconic NFL quarterback ahead of WrestleMania. The speculation pertaining to Brady’s non-existent WrestleMania appearance picked up steam especially when he and Logan Paul were going back-and-forth after Brady mocked WWE for being cute.
The retired NFL icon massively downplayed what it took to be a WWE star and imposed NFL players as the superior athletes. Paul, in response, would bat for his WWE peers in the subsequent weeks and left no stone unturned in bashing the NFL athletes. The way Brady and Paul were going at it made the fans believe that they were on a collision course and would inevitably have a faceoff at WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes shortly left his pregnant wife to watch Tom Brady in Super Bowl LV
While formally welcoming Tom Brady in the aforementioned conversation on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Cody Rhodes revealed himself as a big Tom Brady fan. ‘The American Nightmare’ said he drugged his wife when she was pregnant in order to make it to the Covid Super Bowl back in 2021.

Rhodes was so fulfilled and ecstatic after seeing Brady make the first touchdown pass that he left the stadium and went back to his wife. It was Brady’s first NFL season playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they went on to lift the trophy by ousting the Kansas City Chiefs.
‘Tom Terrific’ was adjudged the MVP for scoring three pivotal touchdown passes that night. Rhodes, being an avid Tom Brady fan, would’ve surely rejoiced over the result. That remained Brady’s last Super Bowl appearance and bettered his individual record of winning 7 out of the 10 he was a part of.
