Roman Reigns pulled up to this week’s Raw in Dallas to sign the contract for his upcoming world title defense against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. ‘The OTC’ made his entrance to a sustained roar from the 12,000-strong Texas crowd that stood in unison to acknowledge their ‘Tribal Chief’. His challenger, Rollins, received equally loud cheers when he made his way out.

Once both were in the ring and Rollins signed on the dotted line first, he turned his attention to Reigns and said he knew it was difficult for him with the crowd’s serenading of his song drowning out the OTC chants. ‘The Visionary’ cut to the chase and asserted that death, taxes, and Rollins beating Reigns were certain in life.

‘The Tribal Chief’ broke the ice and responded to the crowd singing Rollins’ song by saying he wished the same people would’ve been there last week when Rollins bored everyone half to death. Reigns said he listened to Seth’s words, and it just proved that he was the Tribal Chief’s number one hater.

Reigns stated ‘The Architect’ had somehow tricked the fans into making them believe that he was at the same level as ‘The OTC’. The latter asserted that it couldn’t be further from the truth. Reigns, therefore, vowed to show what a number one actually looks like at SummerSlam. Just after he said it, Reigns put pen to paper as well.

Once the champ signed on the dotted line, Rollins expressed his gratitude towards Reigns for keeping the title warm since WrestleMania and said he’ll take it from him at the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’. Rollins said he’d see the Bloodline leader the next time he bothers to show up. The 2-time MITB winner exited the ring, and it didn’t sit well with Roman Reigns.

‘The Head of the Table’ stopped Rollins on his way back and asked what would happen if Seth manages to defeat Roman at SummerSlam. The Anoa’i family stalwart joked that Rollins would be injured two months into it just like every time. ‘The OTC’ doubled down on the insult by adding that some people aren’t built to carry the burden and pressure of being the top guy in WWE.

It struck a nerve with Rollins, and he stepped back into the ring, and the smile had disappeared by then. ‘The Tribal Chief’ was messing around and even poked Rollins in the shoulder. The former ‘Monday Night Messiah’ then asked the world champ to get it off his chest and say what he’d been holding back.

Rollins insisting Reigns be blunt about it made ‘The OTC’ explain how Rollins was the number two. The Pensacola-born wrestler mocked ‘The Visionary’ for needing a Money in the Bank briefcase after all these years to become a world champion in WWE.

If that wasn’t bad enough, Rollins faked an injury to cash in last year. Reigns affirmed that if there was ever a time for Rollins to be number one, it’s now with his work daddy, Triple H, in charge of things.

‘The OTC’ said that the machine got behind Rollins, but he still couldn’t walk in Reigns’ shoes. The Bloodline supremo ultimately asked his little brother to acknowledge the fact that he’ll always be second to Roman Reigns. Rollins asked if that was all and would Reigns not remind him that he could never draw as much money as ‘The OTC’ and everything else that Reigns had told him in the recent past?

Rollins said he and Reigns weren’t running the same race, and the former Vision leader was proud of what he’d always stood for and revealed being glad he wasn’t like Roman Reigns. Just as he said it, Rollins decked Reigns with the mic and launched an all-out assault on the reigning world heavyweight champion.

‘The Visionary’ got caught while going for the stomp initially. Reigns hit the Superman Punch on Rollins and lifted him up on his shoulders to powerbomb ‘The Revolutionary’ through the table. Rollins countered with repeated punches, and he downed Reigns with a pedigree. The Chicago Bears superfan then stomped Reigns out to close the show.

Roman Reigns to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event with Jalen Brunson

The morning of this week’s Raw, Roman Reigns went on social media to extend an invite to the 2026 NBA Finals MVP and the title-winning Knicks skipper, Jalen Brunson, to join him this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event. It didn’t take long for Brunson to accept Reigns’ invite.

WWE confirmed shortly afterwards that the duo will be appearing alongside at SNME taking place inside Madison Square Garden. While one could only speculate what will possibly go down with Reigns and Brunson pulling up to the mecca of pro wrestling, ‘The OTC’ should be red faced after what transpired on Raw.

The fans would definitely want WWE to not waste a Roman Reigns appearance on just the ‘OTC’ dapping up with Brunson and that’s it. Seth Rollins might get in between that with a hit and run on Reigns, or who knows if they brawl to add even more spice to their already heated rivalry en route to SummerSlam?
