CM Punk has, in recent years, made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t like being followed by fans at his hotel or to the airport after a show. However, he can’t catch a break, it seems. The latest instance of fans waiting to meet Punk at the hotel he was staying in has surfaced on social media. As one could see below, a lady and her two kids were left disappointed after Punk allegedly blew them off.

The mother called the WWE Champion a “punk” before saying she understood giving wrestlers their spaces but added that this was different as they were staying in the same hotel. Her older son stated that the ‘Best in the World’ mad-dogged them and eventually walked away. They uttered, “Never meet your heroes.” The lady constantly kept fixating on her kids being heartbroken.

She, however, managed to get herself clicked with the likes of Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Charlotte Flair at the hotel with her two boys nowhere to be seen in the pictures. Those on social media have offered mixed responses to the entire situation. There’s a big chunk of those that are calling out the lady for assuming that her family was entitled to CM Punk’s time and that he owed them an interaction.

They’re also mad at the lady visibly using her children to lure the ‘Second City Saint’ in. They argued that the meet-and-greet events exist in case one wants to click selfies and speak to their favorite wrestlers but bothering them in their private lives isn’t justified at all.

However, there’s the other section of people who have slammed CM Punk for being rude in the aforementioned scenario and believe he’s in the wrong for not stopping by. Punk posted a story on Instagram shortly afterwards in which he reminded the fans about not following him at his hotel.

However, he later deleted it, with some suspecting that he did so after realizing that the lady and her kids he didn’t make time for were staying at the same hotel. But that’s just what the internet is making of it. For the unversed, the former AEW star has had some terrible fan stalking experiences of late.

A few months back at WrestleMania, he was furious about a fan recording his wife AJ Lee‘s personal moment with Bayley in the hotel lobby they were in post-midnight after finishing up their WrestleMania duties. Punk consequently slapped the phone out of the fan’s hand that showed no decency whatsoever and kept his camera on even when Bayley asked him to get away from her and Lee.

While the latest example of the lady and her kids waiting for Punk was largely different from what he experienced after Mania, the ‘Straight Edge Superstar’ has clearly set a boundary for the fans, and he would definitely like them to respect that.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes maintain camaraderie in recent live event en route to SummerSlam

The aforementioned incident happened after WWE’s latest visit to Las Cruces for a live event this past weekend. At the event, CM Punk teamed up with Cody Rhodes to overcome the duo of Gunther and Ricky Saints. ‘The American Nightmare’ celebrated their win by carrying Punk on his shoulders. But this wouldn’t last long as they’re finally set to wrestle each other.

Last Friday on SmackDown, CM Punk accepted Cody Rhodes’ challenge for a match at SummerSlam. They talked about subconsciously avoiding each other for a long time. However, both men knew it was high time they delivered on their match that’s been teased for years. Punk and Rhodes will get to team up one more time this coming weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The babyface duo is slated to take on Gunther and Sami Zayn as confirmed by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. The latter noted that Zayn wanted to get his hands on Rhodes and Punk as much as Gunther did. It would be interesting to see how Punk and Rhodes fare working in tandem just days before their big-time showdown at SummerSlam.
