CJ Perry aka Lana made her AEW debut at All Out [via- AEW on X]
Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view saw the AEW debut of CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE. She made her presence known following her husband, Miro’s, victory over Powerhouse Hobbs. Both men were evenly matched in terms of their size. They signed on the dotted line for the submission match at AEW’s All-In show in Wembley Stadium. Last night at the United Center, it was all about two meaty men hitting each other as hard as they could.
In a match during which the raucous crowd in Chicago kept chanting “meat”, Miro and Hobbs put on a hard-hitting exhibition. During the closing moments, Miro survived a spinebuster to apply The Game finishing maneuver on Hobbs to win the match. Following that, Hobbs deceived the Bulgarian while offering a show of respect. Just then, the entrance area lit up with the arrival of Miro’s wife, Lana.
The Hot and Flexible diva marched towards the ring, and she smacked Powerhouse Hobbs’ back with a steel chair. However, unmoved by the feeble shot, Hobbs went back up and was about to hurl at Perry. However, Miro saved the day for his blonde bombshell wife as he rattled his opponent with a couple of chair shots. Then Miro and Lana stood face-to-face for quite a while.
However, Miro didn’t celebrate his wife’s arrival in AEW; it seemed it was merely for his benefit. The former Rusev left CJ Perry in the ring and exited. As he left, the former TNT Champion appeared unconvinced, shouting, “You’re not real,” at the Ravishing Russian. She was devastated, feeling abandoned by her husband.
Why Miro didn’t get along with his wife Lana aka CJ Perry at All Out?
Miro hasn’t forgotten his wife’s flirtatious past. When the couple was in WWE, Lana played the kayfabe girlfriend of Bobby Lashley. She dumped her own husband to establish on-screen relations with The Almighty. Perry didn’t stop there, as she took her affinity for Lashley to the next level. The Ravishing Russian did numerous angles where she exchanged smackeroos with the former CEO of The Hurt Business.
The romantic triangle did wonders for WWE in terms of television ratings. Those erotic segments featuring Lana and Lashley amassed mammoth views across WWE’s digital platforms. During an interview, the Bulgarian Brute admitted that he had no issues with Lana’s aggressive making-out segments. However, the story never received a satisfying end. After that, Rusev went to AEW, and WWE slowly separated the storyline lovebirds with the introduction of MVP in the mix.
