AEW is known for their damaging approach through their wrestling style. Being focused more on the sports side than the entertainment angle, AEW gains their audience’s interest in their own unique way. One such incident occurred on Saturday Night Collision, where a flaming table was broken down by Mark Briscoe.

The main event of the show was an Atlanta Street Fight where House of Black was included. The heel stable went against the trio of Briscoe, Jay Lethal, and Jeff Jarrett. The momentum shift throughout the match was exciting to witness in the Street Fight. The bout reached a point where Briscoe got the upper hand after applying the double underhook brainbuster to Malakai Black and had the crowd on their feet.

Julia Hart’s interception gave Black the advantage to step down from the ring and stand with Buddy Matthews. Briscoe continued his attack by launching himself at the House of Black members. However, they grabbed him and targeted his back to be harmed. This was not enough for them, as Black instantly thought of putting that ‘Dem Boy’ through the table and ordered the TBS Champion to light the table.

Hart set the table on fire and allowed the House of Black to take down Briscoe. Black and Matthews had him on their shoulders, broke the flaming table in half, and quickly took him inside the ring. The winner of the match was decided right there, as the Dutch star successfully pinned Briscoe for their victory.

The ‘New’ Elite made their debut on AEW Collision

The ‘New’ Elite now consists of The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. Last Wednesday on Dynamite, the stable was reformed with the outing of Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson have truly succumbed to their heel personas and would bring Okada to the same page.

Starting with their mindful mission, Bucks and Kazuchika wrestled together for the first time on Collision. The match was short enough to be even talked about, which made Okada feel like the ultimate boss. The Rainmaker applied equal damage to all three of his opponents and pinned Liam Gray for their win.

This marked Okada’s first match under the AEW banner, which was being played safely. However, interest rose after the match as their next week’s match at Big Business 2024 was also booked. The ‘New’ Elite would again be in action against the trio of Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, and the returning Pac!
