In a shocking turn of events, AEW superstar Mark Briscoe has recently urged the WWE COO, Triple H, to sack the WWE On Fox social media operator. The situation developed as a result of a distasteful post made by the page’s social media operator.
The multi-time ROH Tag Team champion subsequently made a tweet telling Hunter to terminate the WWE employee.
WWE on Fox recently uploaded an image of The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley from last week’s SmackDown on their X handle. They captioned the picture, “DEM BOYZ!” a catchphrase used by the popular ROH tag team, The Briscoe Brothers.
One half of the team, Jay Briscoe, passed away earlier this year in a tragic car accident. As a result, the AEW star took umbrage at the offensive post by the admin.
The 38-year-old wasted no time in reacting to the post. Taking to his X handle, Brisco retweeted the post and lashed out at the admin. He then proceeded to tag the WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H.
Tagging the latter, the AEW star urged him to sack the social media operator for his offensive post. Furthermore, he stated that the admin must be fired for their lack of knowledge and reverence.
For real?? This shit is hilarious. @TripleH, whoever runs this twitter should probably be fired for lack of knowledge. Or they need the taste slapped out of their mouth for lack of reverence.Mark Briscoe on X
The 54-year-old, however, has yet to respond to Briscoe. Moreover, the Briscoe Brothers are regarded as one of the most influential tag teams in the independent scene.
Mark and Jay Briscoe had together won the ROH World Tag Team Championship a record-setting 13 times. A few hours later, Mark Briscoe put out a follow-up tweet issuing an apology to Triple H.
Mickie James takes a stand for Mark Briscoe after wrestling fans bash the AEW star for tagging Triple H
The Mark Briscoe-WWE controversy has spurred quite an uproar on social media lately. The former ROH Tag Team Champion slammed WWE CCO Triple H, pointing out the disparaging post on the WWE’s Fox page.
While the majority of fans supported Briscoe, several others criticized the superstar for dragging Triple H into the controversy.
As a result, former WWE star and Nick Aldis’ wife, Mickie James, stepped in to stand up for her friend. The veteran wrestler headed to her X in response to the harsh remarks made by wrestling fans. Calling out the WWE Universe, James stated that people on social media get way too comfortable with disrespecting others.
The comments alone remind me how comfortable people are being disrespected, & disrespecting others, all for a fake like on a soulless app.Mickie James on X
Lambasting the fans for their negative comments, she urged them to cut some slack on the AEW star. Furthermore, James reminded everyone that the 38-year-old lost his brother earlier this year.
She added that he is still in mourning over the unfortunate passing of Jay Briscoe. Moreover, Mickie James is arguably the most well-rounded female superstar of her time. James is a former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion.
