Kenny Omega is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers in the world by many fans. His unique character and mind-blowing style of wrestling have helped him accumulate a large fanbase despite never wrestling for WWE. However, every wrestler takes inspiration from someone to improve and become a better version of themselves, and for Omega, it was Kurt Angle. 

The Belt Collector expressed his love and respect for The Wrestling Machine during his Twitch stream. He stated that Angle was the definition of a complete wrestler for him and labeled him as the greatest of all time. Omega further added that the 55-year-old legend had the rare gift of complementing every wrestling style.

Omega further added that he isn’t afraid to make a fool of himself, just like the WWE Hall of Famer. Kurt Angle retired from wrestling in 2019, where he lost his final match against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. While he’s known mainly for his stint in WWE, he has accomplished a lot in his career and won a lot of championships in the wrestling promotions outside of it too.

I do think Kurt Angle is the greatest...I can't even say in-ring. For me, he's the most complete wrestler of all time. He's my favorite. He's my go to guy to study. Being an athletic guy who wants to be able to mesh well and compliment every wrestling style.

The former Elite member is currently out of action due to diverticulitis, and according to reports, his illness was near life-threatening. It is still not clear when he will return to the squared circle again. However, fans are expecting him to feud against Kazuchika Okada and The Young Bucks straightaway after his comeback.

Kurt Angle returns the favor to Kenny Omega with a three-word message on social media

It looks like AEW star Kenny Omega‘s appreciative words caught the attention of Kurt Angle. The 55-year-old legend returned the favor by showing his respect and gratitude to Omega on social media.

The Olympic gold medalist took to X and not only revealed that he respects The Cleaner but expressed his desire to meet him one day. Both wrestlers continued their back-and-forth conversation on social media, as Omega responded with yet another token of appreciation.

Omega has been quite vocal during his Twitch streams amid his absence from television. As a matter of fact, he heaped praise on John Cena recently, calling him the epitome of what the face of a wrestling company should be like. In reply, The Franchise Player thanked him on his Instagram account. Needless to say, fans can expect to hear more about Omega’s opinions on the wrestling world in the near future.
