Tony Khan’s AEW is home to several promising stars who left WWE, and one such name is Toni Storm. Storm, who had made a name for herself in NXT UK, voluntarily left the company in late 2021 as she felt WWE did not respect her creatively. However, since coming to AEW, Toni Storm has become a fan-favorite and a regular attraction on Dynamite and Rampage.

AEW President Tony Khan is in awe of the former WWE star because of her impact on fans in just her brief run in the company. On the latest edition of AEW Unrestricted, Khan praised Toni Storm and called her the best free agent signing by him ever. He further said that Storm has delivered every time she has entered the ring and even referred her as one MVP of the promotion.

“[Toni] is one of the best free agents we’ve ever signed. Storm is just fantastic and this year, I think [she] has been one of the MVPs in all of AEW, and certainly on AEW Dynamite…One of the most consistent wrestlers we’ve seen time in, time out, including this week, and Toni Storm always delivers.” Khan said. Toni Storm made a name for herself in AEW when she entered as a surprise entrant in The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. She defeated The Bunny and Jamie Hayter to reach the semi-finals, but lost to Dr. Britt Baker in the semi-finals. She continued her pursuit and eventually became the Interim AEW Women’s Champion before dropping the title to Jamie Hayter at AEWs November PPV, Full Gear.
