The sixth match of the AEW All In event saw a highly entertaining tag team coffin match. Sting and Darby Allin teamed up to take on Swerve Strickland and TNT Champion Christian Cage. The match saw the paramount spots by all the competitors, especially Sting who pulled out the moves at the age of 64 in AEW.
The match was a fast-paced match with the coffin moments starting quite early in the bout. A moment saw Darby applying a stunner on Strickland standing on the apron and having the latter fall on a table. But the table breaking was done by the icon who jumped upon Swerve and showed his passion for professional wrestling. Sting and Allin then almost had Christian Cage in the coffin when Luchasaurus came in to attack the face team.
Darby had to drop his body on Swerve as the latter was laid on the coffin, but his jump saw Strickland getting away and Allin suffering the backdrop. Strickland’s chair shot on Stinger pissed him off but did not affect anything. Swerve’s attempt to have Sting in the coffin was taken down by the icon as he put his baseball bat in between to have himself secured from the loss. Swerve’s 450s splash was countered by Sting as he got away from the move from the coffin.
Sting applied Scorpion Death Drop on Strickland on the coffin and had him in the coffin later. But somehow, the never-give-up attitude of Swerve boiled up as he had his hands placed in the lid to disallow the closing of the coffin. But continuous efforts by Sting and a drop by Darby had the coffin closed with the face team’s victory. You can watch the video here.
