AEW’s wildest superstar, Jon Moxley, is known for his nasty wrestling behavior. The Eccentric One has been with the promotion ever since its inception and has delivered numerous memorable moments. Adding to this list, Moxley made a surprising gesture on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite as he kissed Swerve Strickland.

The main event of the December 13, 2023, episode of Dynamite saw a bout between Swerve and Jon. A few minutes into the match, momentum shifted constantly, with Strickland being pushed into the ring corner. As the referee tried to separate Moxley, he slightly went back and stood up in front of Swerve to kiss him on the nose. The high-octane star chuckled a bit and seemingly wiped off the kiss mark from his nose.

In an attempt to have a classic wrestling bout, both stars looked for a strategy to take down the other. But Swerve’s disapproval had him push Jon to the rings and force a ropebreak. As the referee again tried to separate them, this time Strickland took a step back and did not hesitate to give Mox a return kiss.

The bout was part of the Gold League’s Continental Classic Tournament. The match was essential, as both stars had the same points in the tournament and battled for the lead. Jon and Swerve, being tied on nine points, came in from weeks of undefeated status but saw the former Shield member taking the opportunity to maintain it.

AEW’s extremely popular star Swerve Strickland and wrestling veteran Jon Moxley squared off on AEW Dynamite. With Mox’s damaging mentality in the mix, fans expected to see goriness happen with Strickland.

But none of that made quite the buzz, while an unexpected kiss from both sides was something that entertained. Fans have shown their reactions to the quick kisses and hilariously called out the ‘homophobes’ to look at the clip.

Strickland has risen in prominence in the last few months of his career. His classic match against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at AEW WrestleDream was not enough for the fans to witness. But the five-star bloody match at Full Gear again with Page came out as one of the goriest matches of the year.
