One week removed from their attack on Roman Reigns, The Bloodline continued their dominance on SmackDown. Solo Sikoa sent a bold statement and made changes to his faction. Sikoa demanded Jacob Fatu hand over his Tag Team Championship to Tonga Loa. Fatu obliged, respecting his Tribal Chief’s orders. Sikoa then revealed that The Samoan Werewolf no longer needed to hold the title as he was now his personal “Enforcer.”

Therefore, the Tongans would now defend the championships on behalf of The Bloodline. As for Reigns, Sikoa mentioned that he was ‘done’ with his former leader. In fact, the former NXT North American Champion claimed that he would shift his focus to either Cody Rhodes or Kevin Owens after Bash in Berlin. Moreover, the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief vowed to bring back the Undisputed WWE title to his family.

On last week’s show, Reigns momentarily gained the upper hand in his battle against Sikoa. After finally wearing the Ula Fala necklace, the Head of the Table felt like he accomplished his mission. However, Jacob Fatu blindsided Roman, as The Bloodline sent the latter through the announce table. Despite his foot injury, the 32-year-old showed up and decimated The Needle Mover. Hence, a promotion for him was always on the cards.

By the looks of it, Roman Reigns won’t be appearing on weekly television for a while now. The former record-breaking champion was scheduled for the premier SmackDown episode on the USA Network. However, WWE pulled him from adverts for the show following the beatdown by The Bloodline. Needless to say, only time will tell how the faction’s civil war plays out in the coming weeks amid Reigns’ absence.

The Bloodline emerges victorious in first championship defense on SmackDown

Following the aforementioned segment, The Bloodline defended their Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits on SmackDown. The Tongans teamed up for the first time on television since joining WWE. The initial stretches of the match saw Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford dominate the champions.

At one point, it looked like Ford won the belts for his team when he delivered a Frog Splash on Loa. However, Tama Tonga saved the bout for his team. At the end, Solo Sikoa caused a distraction, allowing Jacob Fatu to superkick The Street Profits and help his brothers pick up the win.

Sikoa ordered the rest of his faction to continue their beatdown on the tag team. #DIY arrived to make the save but were stopped in their tracks by Fatu. The self-proclaimed Tribal Chief then delivered a Samoan Spike to Johnny Gargano as The Bloodline stood tall once again.
