After Robbie Lawler pulls out, Mike Perry wants Khamzat Chimaev at middleweight

“Platinum” Mike Perry the UFC Welterweight is back in the news again. This time because of his opponent, Robbie Lawler pulling out of UFC 255 due to injury. Mike Perry last famously fought Mickey Gall with only his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez by his ringside. Mike Perry went on to win the match via. unanimous decision. He was even open to bids for his next fight, taking to twitter to say that whoever pays him the highest will be by his ringside along with his girlfriend Latory.
Now that Robbie has pulled out, Mike Perry was once again left without an opponent. So, a desperate Mike Perry called out the Swede who has been taking the UFC by storm in the recent months, Khamzat “the Borz” Chimaev.
“We can do it at Middleweight” – Mike Perry to Khamzat via. Twitter
“So @Ruthless_RL pulled out due to an injury. Looking for a replacement I asked for @KChimaev and we can do it at middleweight @ufc@FirstRoundMgmt,” Mike Perry posted taking to twitter. The words from Perry clearly implied that he was serious, as he tagged both UFC and First Round Management to make that fight happen. Perry was even willing to fight it out in the middleweight division.
On the other hand, Khamzat Chimaev is expected to face Leon Edwards at UFC Fight Night 186 in the month of December. It will be interesting to see how things pan out, as a loss for Khamzat will definitely erase the fear he had instilled upon the entire UFC roster. So, if Mike Perry’s words are to be taken seriously, Khamzat will surely come for Mike, once he is done with Leon.
Do you think Khamzat should fight Mike? If yes, will the hard-as-nails Mike Perry be able to withstand the brutal power of the Swede?
