Tickets for the UFC 303 Pay-per-view event (ESPN+) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas go on sale this week. The day is edging nearer when ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor returns to the octagon. He will face TUF: Season 31 coaching rival Michael Chandler. Even away from the scope of fighting, the hype of his gradual return had kept fans on the edge. However, there seems to be one final wrinkle before his return.

Conor McGregor will return to court next week when the UFC 303 pre-sale starts. A woman and her mother, both of the alleged acquaintances, are suing him on the grounds of assault and personal injury claims. This would be the Irishman’s 5th such run-in on se*ual assault charges. The Garda (National Police and Security Service of Ireland) previously investigated the allegations, but the Director of Public Prosecutions brought no charges.

McGregor has long exhibited a brash and angry demeanor. Additionally, his collaborations with ring girls, runway models, and the type often see him catching flak for it. McGregor was touting ring girls during his Forged Irish Stout collab with BKFC, which had a similar fallout. While he does maintain a sturdy fanbase, some give into such allegations befitting his disposition.

The fighter, however, denies such allegations. David Coleman of Coleman Legal Partners represents the opposition, dividing into a split case. Michael J Staines and Company, as usual, represent the fighter. McGregor vs. Michael Chandler in a five-round welterweight bout is the talk of the town. Even ‘Iron’ thinks McGregor’s final act in MMA will come at UFC 303. There’s no telling if such litigation pitfalls harm his return.

Former two-division champion Conor McGregor has been the consensus face of MMA for quite many years now. He is now also the highest-paid Hollywood debutant, with quite a success to show for it. Even away from active participation, he maintains quite a fan following.

However, the Irishman has a new set of legal troubles to unload. McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) goes back to court to fight two separate cases of assault charges. The 1st case was filed in the High Court in 2021, and no official reports were airing.

McGregor has faced legal controversies time and again. November 2017-Present: Driving Violations mark his most consistent legal run-ins due to reckless driving. Pleading guilty to speeding offenses and paid fines, he saw arrests in 2022 for six charges.

April 2018: The Attack on the Bus at Barclays Center after a UFC Media event saw McGregor and his entourage target Khabib Nurmagomedov for confronting his then-friend Artem Lobov. Funnily enough, Lobov sued McGregor for defamation, for claiming stakes on $600 million worth of Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey.

The December 2018-Present: Dublin Sexual Assault Allegations is the most infamous one. Immediately later, he faced yet another charge for assaulting a woman outside an Irish pub. One could wonder if such issues would overhaul Chandler and his fight yet again. All in all, this only adds more to the hype of his return.
