While inaugurating Gujarat Cricket Association‘s indoor academy for young cricketers, Shah went on to add that the T20I series will also be hosted at the Motera Stadium. The five-match T20I series is in light of the upcoming T20 World Cup in India late next year. Given that England is currently the top-ranked side in the format. The governing body has carefully planned the tour so as to prepare the home team for the gala event of the format.

5 T20I matches will be played in Ahmedabad’s Motera stadium,” he said.

England’s tour in 2021 will mark the return of international cricket to the country for the first time since January 2020, when Australia toured India for a three-match ODI series. Team India are currently touring Australia having clinched the T20I series after losing the three-match ODI rubber. The stalwarts are gearing up to class in the much anticipated Border Gavaskar series which will feature four Test matches starting from December 17.
