Wasn’t sure if I should say anything, being a bad guy and all but…Lyon, France. IL EST VRAIMENT, IL EST VRAIMENT, Il EST VRAIMENT PHÉNOMÉNAL LALALALAAJ Styles on X
In the main event of the show, AJ Styles faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. During his entrance, the crowd chanted a phrase in French, which meant that Styles is truly phenomenal. It was a nice gesture by Lyon to show their respect for the lifelong work of the former WWE Champion. The fans’ applause was so high that even the camera started shaking and bouncing.
In return, Styles and Rhodes brought the house down. It was one of the best matches of the night, where the Phenomenal One showcased his talent to another level. The overall event was a treat for the fans. They even sang Randy Orton‘s theme song and delivered some of the biggest pops in WWE history.
AJ Styles revealed the move he would never take
AJ Styles is a professional wrestling veteran. Throughout his career, he has been at the receiving end of deadly moves. Recently, in an interview, the Phenomenal One revealed the finisher he wasn’t willing to take. He mentioned the hallmark of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi as the one he would always refuse.
Speaking on SHAK Wrestling, the former WWE Champion revealed that ‘Stink-Face’ is the one move he would not take anyway. He stated he would somehow find a way to get out of it. However, Styles mentioned that he doesn’t mind taming the running butt in the corner, although the stink-face remains a big ‘NO’.
I will never take it, I would find a way to get out of it, I don't think that I would ever, but I would hope that I never have to take that. I don't mind taking the running butt in the corner by one of the Samoans but I don't know about the Stink Face.AJ Styles via SHAK Wrestling
Recently, the move generated a lot of buzz when Rhea Ripley performed it at a live event. It quickly became a sensation when Mami started using it as a go-to during house shows. However, it seems like the Phenomenal One is not too thrilled with the enthusiasm for the move. It is a widely used finisher by Rikishi, who brought this spot to the mainstream.
