“I don’t make those decisions,” Former WWE Champion yearns facing John Cena before he retires by the end of 2025
One of John Cena's greatest WWE rivals is definitely interested in having a crack at the actor before he bids adieu to his in-ring career.

With a touch over two months into his WWE retirement tour, John Cena shocked the entire world by turning heel at the Elimination Chamber. He sold out to The Rock, and will now challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. But there’s another man who’s had a rich history with Cena, and his name is AJ Styles.
The Phenomenal One recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet on Insight. During the conversation, it was broached whether Styles is itching to mix it up with Cena one last time before the latter finally rides off into the sunset. Although the former TNA Champion quipped that he doesn’t make those decisions, he’d be surely down with the idea if the opportunity presents itself.
AJ reminisced about his immaculate chemistry with John inside the squared circle. The Georgia Pitbull was Cena’s first opponent back from a rotator cuff injury in May 2016. They went on to collide at Money in the Bank, where Styles beat the 16-time World Champion with some assistance from Luke Gallows and Carl Anderson. The Cenation Leader succumbed to Styles once again at SummerSlam the same year.
I don’t make those decisions. I would love to have it for sure, it’d be fun. Honestly, I think that there’s something about. I can’t explain it -why him and I gel so well together.

However, when it mattered the most, John Cena delivered. The Peacemaker star ousted AJ to win the WWE title for the sixteenth time at the Royal Rumble in 2017. Most recently, these two individuals found themselves in the same ring in the 30-man Royal Rumble match last month. Who knows if they have one more singles match left against each other?
John Cena’s next WWE appearance after shocking turn of events at the Elimination Chamber
Now that John Cena has turned heel for the first time since 2003, the dynamics will change. Whoever ends up crossing paths with him in the months to come will be intriguing, to say the least. The Franchise Player has broken silence through social media posts since pulverizing Cody Rhodes last weekend.

However, it’d take until March 17 for the fans to be graced by his presence once again. The actor is slated to appear on three back-to-back episodes of Raw as part of WWE’s European tour. Before he gets down to some explaining, Rhodes, who got busted open at the Elimination Chamber, will address the assault on SmackDown this Friday.
He has his back against the wall now that his WrestleMania 41 opponent is backed by the TKO Board director, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The odds suggest that Cena is already a favorite to dethrone Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title in about six weeks time at The Show of Shows.
Speaking of The American Nightmare’s medical status, he’s left with a ruptured eardrum, which could be attributed to Travis Scott‘s stiff shot on Rhodes. The $80 million-worth rapper has reportedly undergone wrestling training, which may very well see him compete in a formal match for WWE soon.
