This year, Jannik Sinner lost just six matches, four of them were to his arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz. One defeat was at the hands of eventual champion Alexander Bublik in the second round of the Halle Open.
The other player who beat the Italian ace was Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor. Sinner, in fact, gave him the walkover in the third round of the Shanghai Masters, as he was dealing with cramps due to the scorching heat and humidity.
In spite of dealing with the doping scandal earlier this year as well as missing three months of tennis due to his ban, Sinner finished the season with six trophies from 10 finals, including the Australian Open and Wimbledon. Alex de Minaur is in awe of Sinner and explained the two biggest strengths of Sinner that make him nearly invincible.
One of the biggest attributes of Jannik is his level, day in day out, never fluctuates. That is one of the most impressive things from a tennis level standpoint and also mentally. This year, a lot has gone on, and it hasn’t affected him mentally.
Alex de Minaur told Tennis365
De Minaur has Sinner 13 times, losing every single match. This year, they met four times, with their last encounter being in the semifinals of the ATP Finals.
In the French Open, he was two sets to one up, match points, and lost. It was an amazing match, and then he managed to back it up at Wimbledon. It’s amazing to be able to come back from a disappointment like that and play the way he did to win Wimbledon. It’s almost like tough moments don’t hit it.
Alex de Minaur added
Sinner took home four Big Titles this year. Apart from the Australian Open and Wimbledon, the four-time Grand Slam champion clinched his career’s first Paris Masters title by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime. Later at the ATP Finals, the 24-year-old defeated Alcaraz to defend his crown.
This season, De Minaur took home two titles. He first lost the Rotterdam Open to Alcaraz and later went past Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the Washington Open. De Minaur also qualified for the ATP Finals for the second consecutive time. He lost in the semifinals to Sinner.
Andrey Rublev on the dominance of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner
Jannik Sinner lifted the second-most titles this season, following Carlos Alcaraz, the winner of eight trophies from 11 finals. They met six times this year. Alcaraz claimed titles at the Italian Open, French Open, Cincinnati Masters, and the US Open, while Sinner claimed the Wimbledon crown and the ATP Finals. Andrey Rublev gave his take on how the World No.1 and the World No.2 are able to dominate so much.

For me, they are just playing tennis. They are not playing with fear or hoping for the other guy to miss. They just play tennis, do the same thing, and it doesn’t matter the score of the player. That’s the difference with everyone else, in my opinion.
Andrey Rublev said in London during the UTS Grand Final (H/T: Tennis365)
Rublev finished the season in 16th spot on the rankings table, winning one title. The Russian defeated Jack Draper at the Qatar Open and later reached the final of the Hamburg European Open, losing the match to Flavio Cobolli.
Rublev has met Sinner 10 times, winning three times. This year, they faced each other in the fourth round of the Roland Garros, which Sinner won. Against Alcaraz, the 28-year-old trails 1-4 in the head-to-head matchups. This year, Rublev clashed with the 22-year-old two times, in the fourth round of Wimbledon and the quarterfinal of the Cincinnati Masters, losing both.
