Hill and Pereira have been rivals since their clash at UFC 300, and their rivalry continues to this day. A few months ago, they nearly got into an altercation at the UFC Performance Institute. However, despite the ongoing tension and criticism surrounding Pereira’s fight performances, Hill was surprisingly not critical of ‘Poatan’ losing his championship to Ankalaev.

The rivalry between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya is considered one of the most exciting in UFC history. It traces back to 2016 during their days in GLORY kickboxing. This tension continued into the UFC when Adesanya established his dominance in the division, and Pereira made his debut. The two faced off against each other twice in the promotion, and both fights were highly entertaining.
In the current scenario, Adesanya and Pereira have reconciled and share a friendly relationship. As a result, both fighters seem to support each other during their UFC outings. During UFC 313, Adesanya anticipated that Pereira would win and believed that he was ahead on points. However, when the judges awarded a unanimous victory to Magomed Ankalaev, ‘Izzy’ was shocked.

Notably, Pereira shares the same sentiment as Adesanya, believing that Ankalaev did not land many strikes despite having control time. Currently, the Brazilian fighter has vowed to make a strong comeback in the promotion. However, before that, Pereira plans to take some time off to rejuvenate himself before returning.
