Alex Pereira just lit up the T-Mobile Arena after dropping opponent Jiri Prochazka in the most brutal way possible. The light heavyweight champion defended his throne in fashion and extended his legacy as one of the greatest knockout artists in the history of UFC. After an intense staredown inside the octagon, both fighters touched gloves and gave fans what they came for.

In the first round, both Pereira and Prochazka were cautious with checking each other with leg kicks and jabs. However, in the very last second of the round, ‘Poatan’ managed to land his signature left hook on the ‘Samurai.’ Prochazka got dropped but was saved by the buzzer. Little did he know that wasn’t the case, and the fight ended soon after.

At the start of the second round, Pereira landed an unexpected left high kick, which connected perfectly and was enough to put down the Czech fighter. The referee stopped the fight after Pereira followed it up with some ground and pound. As the champion walked away, the challenger was fighting for his consciousness and couldn’t stand or walk properly.

Alex Pereira entered UFC 303 on short notice in order to fill the void left by Conor McGregor’s withdrawal from the main event. On the other hand, Jiri Prochazka intervened to get his long-overdue revenge on the Brazilian. Unfortunately, it didn’t go in his favor. As expected, the spectators enjoyed every moment of the fight, both during and after it ended.
