Alex Pereira and Francis Ngannou are among the hardest punchers in combat sports history. Ngannou has shown outstanding power in both his left and right hand, whereas Pereira has a powerful left hook. In 2018, Ngannou broke the record in a PowerKube with a score of 129,000.

Now, Pereira has hit the machine and impressed everyone. He broke the record as he had a score of almost 200,000. Pereira did not hit the machine with a left hook but a right straight. It is almost certain that Pereira’s left hook packs more power than his right straight.

Therefore, it is safe to assume that Pereira would get a bigger score if he had hit it with a left hook. Pereira has knocked out Jiri Prochazka, Israel Adesanya, and Sean Strickland with his left hook. The aforementioned fighters’ only knockout loss in the UFC came at the hands of Pereira. Another factor to consider is the reliability of the machine. Many have found the machine faulty when Joe Pyfer claimed to have broken the record. Therefore, there has never been an official accreditation by a reliable body if Pyfer or Perreira broke the record.

Dana White once stated that Ngannou had the most powerful punch, which was equivalent to a hit by a Ford Escort at top speed. Tom Aspinall, the interim UFC heavyweight champion, only had a score of 46,000 at PowerKube. However, Aspinall could not properly land in the target area without losing power. Pereira once flirted with the idea of fighting Aspinall. With Pereira’s impressive punching power stats, the potential matchup looks more exciting now. Interestingly, Jamahal Hill, Pereira’s upcoming opponent, is also interested in fighting Aspinall if victorious at UFC 300.

Nina Maria Daniele has carved a name for herself in the MMA scene in a short span. A former Playboy model, Daniele’s hilarious skits and interviews with MMA fighters have garnered attention. Daniele’s best works are mainly with Sean Strickland, but Pereira is a close second.

Recently, she did a hilarious skit with Pereira in which the fighter taught her how to land his signature left hook. In the scripted video, Daniele landed a left hook that knocked Pereira out cold. Pereira acted just like when Israel Adesanya knocked him out at UFC 287. Daniele celebrated uncontrollably as she recited Pereira’s iconic catchphrase, ‘Chama.’ Afterward, Daniele resuscitated an unconscious Pereira.

On a serious note, at the end of the video, Daniele held pads for Pereira. Even though Pereira did not use full power, his punches were strong enough for Daniele. Whenever Pereira hit the pad, Daniele had to move back due to the power. By the end, a visibly exhausted Daniele took huge gasps.
