Alexander Bublik will enter the North American hard-court season riding an eight-match winning streak. He added another title to his name after a strong showing in Kitzbühel over the weekend.
After converting the match point, Bublik was visibly emotional, shedding tears before letting out a loud roar. Earlier this season, Bublik made the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. He is now 3-0 in finals this year, including a victory over Daniil Medvedev in Halle. Ranked outside the Top 80 in March, Bublik is now projected to break back into the Top 25, boosting his chances of being seeded at the US Open.
Looking ahead, the 28-year-old is set to play at the Cincinnati Open. He withdrew from the Toronto Masters, the first of the two back-to-back ATP 1000 events.
Alexander Bublik captures third title of the year
Resurgent star Alexander Bublik secured his second straight ATP title on Saturday by winning the Generali Open in Kitzbühel. He defeated France’s Arthur Cazaux in the final, marking their second meeting in as many weeks.

Bublik had also beaten Cazaux the week before in Gstaad, where he claimed the title. In Kitzbühel, he handled the rainy conditions well and used his powerful groundstrokes to take control of the match. The top seed hit 26 winners and mixed strong forehands with clever drop shots. He now leads Cazaux 3-0 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series and has won eight matches in a row.
This is Bublik’s third title of the year, following wins in Gstaad and Halle. Since reaching his first Grand Slam quarter-final at Roland Garros, he has compiled a 17-2 record. He also claimed a big win over World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in Halle.
Alexander Bublik sees huge rise in the ATP Rankings
Kazakh tennis player Alexander Bublik has moved up five spots to No. 25 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings. He has also risen to 11th in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin, gaining five places there as well.

Bublik recently achieved a rare double. He became the third player in the last five years to win both Gstaad and Kitzbühel in the same season. Only Casper Ruud in 2021 and Matteo Berrettini in 2024 have done the same.
His strong performance this season has kept him in the spotlight. With consistent results, Bublik is now in contention for a spot in the year-end ATP Finals. Meanwhile, French player Arthur Cazaux reached his first final on the ATP Tour. His efforts have pushed him up 25 places to No. 75 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings.
