Alexander Volkanovski makes Rhea Ripley’s prophecy come true at UFC 314

The 36-year-old MMA fighter became a two-time UFC Featherweight Champion by toppling his opponent at UFC 314, as manifested by Rhea Ripley.

On Saturday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship staged its UFC 314 event at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The main event saw Alexander Volkanovski beat Diego Lopes via unanimous decision to recapture the UFC Featherweight Championship. The Great’s victory was already predicted by his compatriot and WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley. Her prophecy turned into reality.

As seen in the following clip, Mami could be heard backing her Aussie lad while also hyping her WrestleMania match this weekend. Ripley said that in a week’s time, both of them will be having gold around their waists. Volk has done his part. It’s now up to The Eradicator to live up to her billing in Las Vegas.

However, to become a 3x women’s world champion, Ripley needs to see off a formidable IYO SKY, the reigning champ, and also an uber-athletic Bianca Belair. Rhea must’ve had the time of her life at UFC 314, which she attended alongside her husband, Buddy Matthews. But it’s high time she kept her foot on the gas pedal.

The Oz’s road to WrestleMania has been tumultuous, to say the least. About a month ago, when she lost the title to SKY, the former Judgment Day member seemed like her mental state had taken a toll. She lamented her subpar conduct during the high-stakes match in a post-show interview. Mami was specifically ruffled by Belair’s ringside shenanigans, as she was rooting for IYO instead of Rhea.

Rhea Ripley shoots down haters in epic response

The online discourse for Rhea Ripley is often baffling, and she knows it. The Adelaide-born wrestler was recently interviewed by Zack Heydorn of Sports Illustrated. Addressing the negative reaction to the kind of build her WrestleMania feud has had, Ripley said that the naysayers won’t understand what’s going on with the story because of their hate for Mami.

Rhea savagely quipped that she’s not going to argue with 16-year-olds on the internet. The Nightmare then shifted her focus to Bianca Belair, who, as per Mami, has screwed her twice in recent weeks. The latest instance could be traced back to Raw in London. In the main event, Mami took on IYO SKY in an attempt to dethrone The Genius of the Sky.

Bianca was serving as the special guest referee. However, after being hit by a couple of blows, courtesy of both SKY and Ripley, The EST called for the bell, and the match ended in a disqualification. Last Monday, GM Adam Pearce finally made the call to let these three women go at one another at The Grandest Stage of Them All. They’ll have the opportunity to put on a show-stealer on WrestleMania Sunday.

Is Rhea Ripley not bothered about IYO SKY at all?

In the aforementioned conversation, Rhea Ripley also addressed the claims that she and Bianca Belair have criminally overlooked IYO SKY for weeks now. Mami believes that it’s not like that, and at least she’s embraced how big of a threat the former DAMAGE CTRL member can be.

However, the 28-year-old Aussie kept regurgitating that The EST has been on her bucket list of dream opponents at WrestleMania for years now. The Eradicator had been longing for a singles encounter with Belair at The Show of Shows. That’s why she was upset seeing Bianca root for IYO a while ago.

Belair has also had enough of Rhea claiming that The EST is scared of Mami. This week on Raw, Belair said she was glad over Ripley’s addition because they could now settle their beef inside that ring. Once again, Belair and Ripley trading shots while shoving SKY resulted in the Japanese laying out both of her opponents.
