Novak Djokovic has been known for his playful side since his early years. On Friday, January 10th, he unexpectedly joined Alexander Zverev‘s pre-tournament press conference.

Djokovic’s question focused on Zverev’s ambitions to win his first Grand Slam title. In response, the two-time ATP Finals champion gave a straightforward answer to the Serb.

I think the answer of winning a Grand Slam is you letting me win one.

Alexander Zverev said in the Australian Open pre-tournament press conference

This isn’t the first time Djokovic has interrupted press conferences. At the 2014 BNP Paribas Open, he joined Grigor Dimitrov‘s press conference and humorously asked the Bulgarian about his favorite Sugarpova candy.

In 2011, Caroline Wozniacki joined Djokovic’s press conference at Wimbledon. The pair entertained the audience with a series of funny questions and answers.

Alexander Zverev on course for a tasty third-round clash with Nick Kyrgios at the Australian Open

Nick Kyrgios would love the chance to face Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open, especially in the final. However, that scenario is unlikely. A third-round matchup with No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev is more realistic.

Despite dealing with an abdominal strain, Kyrgios is ready to compete in singles at Melbourne Park. To meet Zverev, the Australian first needs to beat Jacob Fearnley and his second-round opponent. Fearnley will be a tough challenge for Kyrgios. The young player showed plenty of promise in the Canberra Challengers, but Australian Open would be a different ball game for him.

Kyrgios, on the other hand, hasn’t won a match in over a year. He will need to find his rhythm quickly if he hopes to advance past Fearnley and make a deep run in the tournament.
