Since the start of 2024, Jannik Sinner has arguably been the ATP’s top player. The 23-year-old’s growth and refined game have led him to multiple titles, earning praise from American legend Andre Agassi for both his playing style and character.

Sinner claimed his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open in January. He continued with his form until March, recording his first loss of the season against Carlos Alcaraz in the Indian Wells Masters. However, he did well to bounce back in Miami, claiming his third title of the year. In June he overtook Novak Djokovic in the rankings to become the new World No.1.

Thus far, he has remained in that position and has racked up more titles. He played some of his best tennis at the North American swing, claiming the Cincinnati and US Open. He didn’t back down in China, where he defeated Djokovic to win the Shanghai Masters, which was his seventh title of the year.

Sinner has now become a favorite to win any tournament he competes in. His extraordinary game level has made Andre Agassi shower praise on him. The tennis great revealed that his game style is perfect.

I love Sinner, he is a very good person, very humble and always attentive to everyone. It is easy to get along with him, he is a very interesting person. If there is one thing I have really appreciated in my life as a tennis player, it is the feeling you get when you hit the ball. Jannik hits it in a simply perfect way. It reminds me a lot of the feeling of perfection that I was looking for.

Sinner is currently preparing for the ATP Finals in Turn. The Italian arrived at the event a few days ago and has been spotted practicing hard. The event will be his first since Shanghai, as he withdrew from the Paris Masters because of a virus.

Andre Agassi reveals reasons why Jannik Sinner’s coach Darren Cahill is the best

While several pundits and legends continue to praise Jannik Sinner for his performance and victories this season, many overlook his coach, Darren Cahill. The renowned coach has helped the 23-year-old’s game and taken him to new heights since joining the team in July 2022. However, one of his pupils, Andre Agassi, has not forgotten about the influence of Cahill.

Cahill? There are a couple of coaches who are really good: Brad Gilbert and Darren. He always has the right words at the right time. He has coached a lot of world No. 1s: me, Hewitt, Halep and now Jannik. Darren is by far the best.
