UFC 313 turned out to be a massive hit among the fight fans and attracted celebrities all around the world. Among them were controversial online personality Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate. During their visit, they met former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, which caught the attention of fans.

Alexander Volkanovski was in Las Vegas in order to attend the press conference of his upcoming fight at UFC 314. He was also in the crowd watching the fight with viral content creator Nina Marie Daniele. Volk shared a video of him meeting with the Tate brothers and receiving an unexpected compliment from Tristan.

After that, they shook hands and shared a wholesome moment. Both Tristan and Andrew are former kickboxers and are old fans of UFC. One of the early videos of Tate which went viral was of him talking about former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. At UFC 313, the Tate brothers also talked with UFC CEO Dana White and posted it on social media.

Nevertheless, it was not that surprising to see Tristan being a fan of Volkanovski, given the Aussie superstar’s achievements as a former champion. Volk had a dominant reign where he fought everyone who challenged his throne. However, now the ‘Great’ is the path of rebuilding his lost status.

Alexander Volkanovski’s road to retribution

Alexander Volkanovski lost his UFC featherweight title last year against Ilia Topuria in a brutal fashion. Volk got knocked out and went on a long hiatus, the longest gap since he joined UFC. He was expecting to get a rematch against the Georgian-Spanish but with Topuria moving up, the title is currently vacant.

In the main event of UFC 314, Volkanovski will fight young prospect Diego Lopes with the 145 lbs title on the line. Despite his bad form, the veteran is still the fan favorite to win the belt next month. Regardless, the Aussie fighter has put on a lot of hard work to regain his lost throne. In a recent video, he talked about it in detail.

It’s more than just discipline, it’s sacrifices. It’s missing out on all the stuff that you want or even need. We can worry about that right now.

Volkanovski is highly motivated to become the two-time featherweight champion and then defend the title a few more times. He plans to stay active before he finally retires from the sport. At the age of 36, this is definitely the last chapter of his professional career.
