Andy Murray, or addressing him by his correct title, Sir Andy Murray is arguably the greatest British tennis player and is cited as a national hero for resurrecting the country in men’s tennis since the early 20th century. Murray along with his brother Jamie also won the 2015 Davis Cup for Great Britain, the country’s first since 1936.

Murray is the only tennis player to win 2 singles Olympics Gold medals winning the first one in the 2012 London Olympics and then defending it at the 2016 Rio Olympics. 2016 was a great year for Murray, who clinched his 2nd Wimbledon title. However, he has since struggled due to multiple injuries and is yet to reach a Grand Slam final since 2016.

In an exclusive interview with Catherine Whitaker for Amazon Prime Video, Murray spoke about various things happening in his life, his struggle with injury, recovery training, becoming a father for the 4th time, battling corona virus etc.

Speaking about becoming a dad for the 4th time, Murray said, “Once you get to number four, every noise they make doesn’t sort of worry you as much as it did at the beginning. Couple of nights have been average but the sleep has been okay so far.”

“It were a rough kind of few weeks,” said Murray, about testing positive for coronavirus and being isolated in his room for 6 days.

His family first tested negative but later developed the symptoms and were infected with the virus, with his kids just having recovered from Chickenpox.

Talking about his kids, Murray said, “I don’t think they are particularly bothered(about his comeback). My daughter doesn’t like when I go for tours. She ignores me on Facetime when I’m away.”

Further talking about the difficulty of the bubble life and not taking families, Murray said, “I don’t really want my family to come and just stay in a hotel for 10 days just so that I can see them. It’s not particularly fun for them. Lots of players and staff members who I’ve spoken to are also finding it difficult.”
