Andy Roddick has slammed Donald Trump’s endorsement of North Carolina Governor nominee Mark Robinson for criticizing Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. The former World No.1 supported the American by calling her the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).
Robinson was endorsed in March by Trump and was labeled as a kind of Rev Martin Luther King Jr, the famed Civil rights leader. In an old video posted on social media, Robinson was seen contrasting his dedication to the American Black course with what he considers Biles’ selfishness.
I ain’t no little weak gymnast that quits when the going gets tough. My generation’s cut from a different cloth. I'm doing this for this state. I'm doing it for this nation,"Mark Robinson said in the footage
A user on X (formerly known as Twitter), who posted the video, slammed Robinson for calling Biles a weak gymnast.

American legend Roddick, a vocal critic of Donald Trump, supported the Olympic gold champion by dubbing as the GOAT of gymnastics.
Imagine this guy calling the GOAT a weak little gymnast. I’ll refrain from being nasty ………. He can’t do cartwheels.Andy Roddick said on X

Andy Roddick slams Olympics organizers for allowing doubles players as alternates in singles event
Away from politics, Andy Roddick recently took a dig at the Olympics organizers for allowing doubles players to alternate in singles at the Summer Games. An unprecedented number of players, including Jannik Sinner and Alex de Minaur, withdrew from the singles, which forced doubles specialist players to take their positions in the draw.

Doubles players like Matthew Ebden, Petros Tsitsipas, and Fransisco Cabral are not used to playing in the singles, which made their matches too straightforward for their opponents and boring for the fans. Roddick took to social media to blast the rule that allows for doubles players to be alternates in the singles draw.
The Olympics singles alternate situation is ridiculous. Players that don’t even/can't play singles at the highest level getting the call is dumb.Andy Roddick said on X

The tennis event hasn’t witnessed further withdrawals after the first round. The Olympic organizers will be hoping the event continues without any hiccups, with the Round of 16 set to begin on Wednesday (July 31).
