For the past three months, Nick Kyrgios has been majorly in the headlines for his attack and subtle dig at Jannik Sinner. The Aussie took advantage of the Italian’s doping scandal and has used it against him. However, tennis legend Andy Roddick is not pleased with the 29-year-old and has brought out harsh criticism against him.
The former World No.13 returned to the court earlier this year but has been away from tennis for almost two years. While away with injuries, Kyrgios worked as a tennis commentator on ESPN, BBC, and Tennis Channel. He also became more frequent present on social media.
However, since the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced Sinner’s doping saga, Kyrgios has been all out against him. At the beginning, the Australian star vented his frustration at the tennis organization for being partial, but recently he has begun to make ridiculous criticism against Sinner. This has made Andy Roddick point out that the 2022 Wimbledon finalist has become a tennis influencer.
At this point, he’s become a tennis influencer. He lives for the likes, he lives in the comments section.

Anyway, Kyrgios made his first appearance in eighteen months at the Brisbane International. The 29-year-old partnered with Novak Djokovic in the doubles, but their much-anticipated collaboration ended after just one win. Also, he failed to win a match in the singles as he lost to Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round.
In the early hours of Wednesday (January 8), he revealed on social media that he had suffered an abdominal strain ahead of the Australian Open. Kyrgios added that he will be taking a rest to recover ahead of the Melbourne Grand Slam event, which starts on January 12.
Andy Roddick slams Nick Kyrgios for criticizing teenage star Cruz Hewitt for training with Jannik Sinner
As aforementioned Nick Kyrgios has on numerous occasions brutally criticized Jannik Sinner because of his doping case. But recently, he expressed his displeasure with teenage star Cruz Hewitt, the son of tennis great Lleyton Hewitt for practicing with Sinner ahead of the Australian Open.

Kyrgios’ comments have got Andy Roddick angry with his outspoken behavior. The former World No.1 revealed in his podcast that he picks and chooses when to levy judgment on people.
But what I have an issue with is the hypocrisy with which he picks and chooses when to levy judgement on others while also wanting you to digest the context of his comments – the latest being towards Cruz Hewitt who practiced with Jannik Sinner. Kyrgios has been the single most outspoken critic of Jannik Sinner on the heels of his failed doping test. So Cruz Hewitt is 16 years old, son of Lleyton and the toughest competitor that I have ever played in my life, gets to hit with a guy who is number one in the world at the Australian Open. That is a big deal.

However, Cruz Hewitt came short of his bid to reach the Australian Open main draw when he was beaten 1-6, 4-6 by Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round of qualifying. The 16-year-old hopes to play in a Grand Slam event this year as he continues his growth in the ITF.
