Andy Roddick‘s recent statements about Novak Djokovic have been frequently misinterpreted, prompting him to explain himself online. In his latest podcast, Roddick shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate about the best grasscourt player, which some have repeatedly misconstrued.

On July 9th, Roddick released his latest episode of “Served with Andy Roddick”, where he has all praises for Jannik Sinner for being a good grass-court player. The former American World No.1 had given his observations about Sinner’s improvement on grass and hailed the Italian as his favorite grass court player.

However, Andy Roddick had stated earlier this month that Novak Djokovic was the best grass-court player. Djokovic had not yet confirmed his participation in Wimbledon when Roddick made a statement that the Serbian is the best player on grass if he is healthy.

Many Djokovic fans felt that Roddick contradicted his own statements about Djokovic being the best grass-court player. The American had to clarify this online, stating that he had just made a case of Nole and there was misinformation being spread based on certain quotes.

Sigh….. I literally made the case for Novak, being potentially the best bass courter ever when it’s all said and done. Do me a favor. Actually, listen to the episodes instead of just reading the gossip rags that know what to feed you …. Listen. Please, just listen before feeding misinformation.

Recently, he has been called out for allegedly disrespecting Novak Djokovic. Even after many clarifications, Roddick still is time and again accused of targeting the Serbian in his podcasts.

Novak Djokovic gears up for his match against Alex de Minaur as Jannik Sinner falls to Daniil Medvedev

The 2024 Wimbledon holds the answers to many questions. On one side of the draw, Jannik Sinner, the new World No.1, was on the hunt for his second major title and first as the top seed. On the other, Novak Djokovic entered the tournament with no preparation and no titles to his name this year.

Djokovic managed to cruise past his opponents. His recent win came against Holger Rune in the fourth round. It was a straightforward victory for the Serbian, who is now through to the quarterfinal of Wimbledon for the 15th time in his career.

However, Jannik Sinner fell to Daniil Medvedev last night (July 9th). It was a nail-biter of a match, with the match forced to a fifth set. Eventually, it was Medvedev who had more gas in him than the Italian and won the match 6(7)-7, 6-4, 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-3.
