After a title less run in 2023 except for the Olympic Gold, Novak Djokovic is still hunting for his 100th career title. Former tennis player, Andy Roddick believes that the Serbian even at 37 is playing extraordinarily and still has it within him to clinch another Major title. In his podcast, Served with Andy Roddick, the American explained why Djokovic is still a strong favorite to win another Grand Slam title considering his improved performance in Miami this year.
Djokovic displayed an impressive form at the 2025 Australian Open and Miami Open. At the Australian Open, marred with injuries he defeated a young Carlos Alcaraz in his prime at the quarterfinals. However, he had to unfortunately retire during the semifinals.
He can still win a major, especially when the surface is giving him some love, like it was in Miami. Where the ball is getting through the court, where he doesn’t have to protect the sidelines as much and doesn’t have to play as much defense.

Albeit taking a break and being in a bit poor form during the Qatar Open and Indian Wells Open, he made a strong comeback in the Miami Open. He reached the finals of this tournament without dropping a set. It also marked his first final since the 2024 Shanghai Masters, wherein he lost to Jannik Sinner.
Jakub Mensik denied his idol, Novak Djokovic a 100th career title
Novak Djokovic competed in the Miami Open for the first time since 2019. He has lifted six titles in the tournament and is tied with Andre Agassi for the most titles. The last time he emerged as the champion was in 2016 when he defeated Kei Nishikori.

Extraordinary. There’s just not a world that anyone is saying Djokovic was disappointing because he didn’t win that final. What? He’s almost 38 years, didn’t drop a set until the final and lost two breakers. If they played the match again tomorrow, I would bet on Novak on that surface.

His Miami Open final against Jakub Mensik was a very thrilling match. Mensik, who is a huge fan of Djokovic played him for the second time in his career and delivered a stunning performance after winning two tie breaks and dropping a set. With this victory, the 19-year-old clinched his maiden ATP title.
Andy Roddick believes Novak Djokovic could win another Grand Slam title
Andy Roddick believes Novak Djokovic is a strong contender for the Roland Garros and Wimbledon titles. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has had a strong performance in both these tournaments throughout his career. He has clinched the Roland Garros title thrice.
He won his maiden Roland Garros in 2016 where he defeated his present coach Andy Murray in the finals and completed the career Grand Slam. He won his next Roland Garros title in 2021, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals, and his third in 2023, defeating Casper Ruud in the finals.

He’s going to be 38, but are you going to put him outside of the top three to win Wimbledon? No, he’s your third favourite. Sinner, Alcaraz and Djokovic

Djokovic has triumphed at Wimbledon seven times. He won his maiden Wimbledon title in 2011, defeating Rafael Nadal in the finals. He has defeated Roger Federer thrice in the finals of this tournament- in 2014, 2015 and 2019.
In 2018, Djokovic defeated Kevin Anderson in the Wimbledon finals. In 2021, Djokovic defeated Matteo Berrettini and in 2022 he defeated Nick Kyrgios in the Wimbledon finals. He reached the finals of the 2023 and 2024 tournaments but was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz both times.
