Chennedy Carter has never been in a situation like this in the WNBA. After bodying Caitlin Clark, she has remained the most talked about woman in sports over the past week. As it turns out, things have taken a step too far as paparazzi harassed Carter as she deboarded their team bus. This led her Chicago Sky teammate Angel Reese and others to voice out.

Chennedy Carter deboarded their team bus and was going to the team hotel. At that moment, a reporter approached her and continuously asked about the Caitlin Clark incident. She did not utter a word, but the reporter kept asking. However, Angel Reese and her teammates did not sit quietly and immediately tweeted about the same. 

Finding out our teams hotel to pull with a camera as we get off the bus and put it in my teammates face & HARASS her is NASTY WORK. this really is outta control and needs to STOP.

Team security took matters into his hands and blocked the camera from recording. However, the harassment has now become a talking point in the WNBA.

Her teammates Isabelle Harrison and Michaela Onyenwere also tweeted condemning the paparazzi from harassing Carter. Such questions are generally reserved for interviews that the WNBA authorizes. This reporter decided to break the norm and use the opportunity to get a sound bite from Chennedy Carter.

Angel Reese may be a rookie, but as she said in their press conference a day before, she is there to support her teammates. Something that rookies generally abstain from. Reese has shown that competitive spirit on and off the court so far.

Angel Reese dominated on the court against Mystics

Today marked Angel Reese’s 9th ever game in the WNBA. In a short time, she racked up her 3rd double-double in the league. This is from a player who normally is not known for her offensive prowess. But the rookie led all starters with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals. This performance helped the Chicago Sky win their 4th game of the season.

Yes, it could be considered that the Washington Mystics are the worst team in the league. But fellow rookie and UConn standout Aaliyah Edwards dominated the proceedings for them. It took Reese’s efforts on both ends of the floor to bring her teammates in and win the game. Chennedy Carter led all scorers with 25 points.

The next two games remain tougher. The Atlanta Dream is a tough team. More importantly, she will face Alyssa Thomas after. This is their first matchup after Thomas slammed Reese to the floor. After that, the Sky will have four winnable games, twice against Caitlin Clark. In the coming days, Angel Reese and her team will remain at the forefront of women’s basketball.
