Angel Reese had fellow WNBA and Seattle Storm star Skylar Diggins-Smith on her podcast Unapologetically Angel.
Angel Reese calls Skylar Diggins-Smith first WNBA baddie
Angel Reese has been at the forefront of outlandish tunnel fits during her rookie WNBA season. She has brought fashion to the forefront which also saw a lot of fellow players join in. However, this trend was already in place with the likes of Skylar Diggins-Smith and other veterans who have been doing this for years.
Angel Reese has been trying to bring variety when selecting her tunnel fits ahead of games. She even wore a Detroit Pistons Dennis Rodman jersey once, just to keep the narrative going that she was allegedly dating Pistons star Jalen Duren.
However, along with her, Skylar Diggins-Smith was also slaying it before games. Her fits drew a lot of attention as she tried to lead her team to the playoffs. That led Angel Reese to say this to the Seattle Storm guard when she was a guest on Unapologetically Angel.
This question apparently shocked the six-time WNBA All-Star as she said she never tried to be that. It was just her swag along with her interest in fashion that helped her bring out her creativity. However, Reese added that Diggins-Smith has inspired her to follow in those footsteps.

The 34-year-old slays in the tunnels and photos of which feed her 1 million strong Instagram followers. However, it was her on-court moment with Caitlin Clark that stayed in the minds of many fans this season. Add with it the investigation into bullying at her franchise, and her reputation has taken a hit.

Angel Reese has come under attack from some who believe she is trying too hard to look fashionable. She has shown she can slay it, but pushing the narrative seems to be going too far. Just as rapper Joe Budden felt when he asked the Chicago Sky star to slow down.
