Angel Reese wants the league to divide the publicity to all teams and not just Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

Angel Reese takes shots at Caitlin Clark and the WNBA after LeBron James and Charles Barkley supported her for getting hate
Since the conclusion of the 2023 NCAA Championship, the rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has transformed women’s college basketball. Upon declaring for the WNBA draft, both players spoke highly of each other.
However, tonight, Reese reignited their rivalry by taking the first shot in their professional careers. This move not only set the stage for their WNBA showdown, but also included a jab at LeBron James and Charles Barkley for supporting Clark.
Clark and her Indiana Fever have not won a WNBA game yet. On the contrary, Angel Reese and her Chicago Sky registered their second win over the title favorites, the New York Liberty. So, with her leading the rookie ranks, Reese took the opportunity to post a message on her official X (formerly Twitter) account.
And thatโs on getting a WIN in a packed area not just cause of one player on our charter flight.Angel Reese via X
A direct shot at Clark considering she has yet to win but is the recipient of all the attention. Reese also suggested that Clark is not the only star selling out arenas.
Angel Reese had to correct reporters who were looking to sell the idea that she hates Caitlin Clark. But she did say that the competition between them is driving them to do better. It has also helped women’s basketball take gigantic leaps in terms of star power and viewership.
Ever since the two declared for the draft, many veterans suggested that the two college rivals would struggle in the WNBA. Yes, they are still getting used to the physicality and difference in pace. However, so far with team play at the forefront, Reese has drawn the first straw.
Angel Reese wants the WNBA to focus on all teams
Since the start of this WNBA season, Caitlin Clark and her Indiana Fever have received the most attention. It has become one of the talking points in the league as games featuring her have received prime broadcasting spots, whereas some other teams, in no particular order, have been left high and dry. Reese and her Chicago Sky did not even get coverage for their first preseason game.
Since then, the former LSU superstar has been vocal about the lack of equal attention. She has asked the league to take steps so that all teams could get the same publicity. This is why she took a slight dig James and Barkley. They were only supporting Clark against the hate she is receiving. But Reese suggests that it has nothing to do with Clark. Rather, it is the league that is focusing on her Indiana Fever alone.
With the way she is playing and winning at the same time, publicity will come knocking. But by restarting the rivalry, the basketball world is set to witness something exciting for the next many years. The first match between them is on June 1st, at Indiana.
