Angel Reese has been the driving force for the Atlanta Dream during the playoffs this year. She has led the franchise to their first WNBA Finals in 13 years in her first postseason.
Excitement surrounded the Dream after their convincing wins in Games 2 and 3 over the Golden State Valkyries. They were in the driver’s seat and had a 2-1 lead in the series heading into Game 4. Unfortunately, they paid for their slow first-half start, falling 67-62 at State Farm Arena on Friday night.
However, Reese made headlines as she was seen arguing with an official. It was a physical game from start to finish, and Reese was left frustrated about the plays that were not called.

The officiating has been a huge talking point throughout the playoffs this year. Several players and coaches have been critical of the referees for their poor officiating and have called them out in press conferences.
Reese was left livid as Valks star Gabby Williams was seen fouling Reese when the Dream forward was attempting to take a shot. While replays showed Williams pulling the young star’s left arm, the referees did not call for a foul. Hence, during the dead ball, Reese, who is known for not shying away from a confrontation, approached and confronted the official over the alleged no-call.

Fans were livid that she didn’t get a technical foul for her poor attitude toward the referee. Angel Reese was already the center of criticism for her behavior in Game 2, and the fans called her out once again after Game 4.
Angel Reese vows to bounce back in Game 5 after her poor showing
Angel Reese is undoubtedly having her best individual campaign in terms of numbers and results. After an impressive regular season, she has been a force to reckon with in the playoffs through her dominance and leadership on the court.

It is her first season with the Dream after she was traded by the Chicago Sky in the offseason this year. Since then, she has established herself as one of the best players in the league today.
After a poor Game 1 performance, she was an unstoppable force in Games 2 and 3. However, she was a shell of herself in Game 4, struggling to find any rhythm. She finished with eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in 34 minutes.
Following the loss, Reese weighed in on her performance during her postgame media availability.
I think I rushed a lot of my shots and I didn’t take my time and finish around the basket like I’ve been doing in the last 3 games. It happens. I’m just looking forward to the next game and I’ll just be better.
