The NFL is set to make history when the Philadelphia Eagles play the Green Bay Packers in Brazil on the opening day. To add icing on the cake, they have agreed for Superstar Brazilian singer/songwriter Larissa de Machado, better known by her stage name Anitta, to perform during the halftime.

As part of the initiative by the NFL committee to expand the game beyond US boundaries, Brazil will become only the fourth country besides Mexico, Germany, and the UK, to ever host a football game. It will undeniably be a special occasion for Latin American football fans who will finally get the chance to watch some of the best of the business in action.

The NFL is reportedly in ‘advanced’ talks with 8-time Latin Grammy nominee Anitta to perform during the halftime break per Brazil’s Rede TV. Dubbed as an ‘Ambassador of Brazilian Music’ by the Wall Street Journal, the 31-year-old received her first Grammy Nomination in 2023.

Which songs could Anitta perform during the Packers vs Eagles halftime show?

Since making her debut back in 2012, Anitta quickly rose to fame with songs like Envolver which topped the Billboard in both Brazil and the USA. Some of her most-played songs on streaming platforms like Spotify are Downtown and Bellakeo.

Anitta recently wrapped her tour in Milan (Italy) and Ibiza (Spain) bagging high praise from her followers. She will surely be a great addition to the Packers vs Eagles game on September 6.

The new Packers running back Josh Jacobs created a lot of ruckus on social media following his remarks regarding the change of colors. He later apologized for the statement.
