Anna Kalinskaya recently made history in Berlin as the first finalist in the German Open. Meanwhile, her boyfriend, Jannik Sinner, also achieved success by reaching the finals at the Halle Open.
Earlier this year, Jannik Sinner revealed the exciting news that he is now dating the Russian. Both of them were playing a couple of hours away from each other and made it to their respective finals. Kalinskaya had a rather difficult day, given that she had to play two matches in a single day.
After almost clinching the first set against Aryna Sabalenka, she received a walkover and had to play Victoria Azarenka a couple of hours later. It was a tough match forced into a third set before Kalinskaya cleaned up the Belarusian in great fashion.
During the interview, she was informed about Sinner’s success in Halle. Congratulating him, Kalinskaya had great words for her boyfriend, who will have a shot at his fourth title of the season.
I’m just trying to be a little bit as good as him. He has had an amazing year and today was difficult because usually, I watch. Let's see if we can watch each other tomorrow online and yeah congratulations to him.Anna Kalinskaya said after her win in Berlin
The couples trend continues as Sinner-Kalinskaya becomes the new couple on the tour, who have reached the finals of their respective tournaments. A week ago, it was Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter, who won their respective tournaments.

Anna Kalinskaya eyes maiden title of the year after reaching the finals in Berlin
World No. 24 Anna Kalinskaya makes it to her second final of the year. The last time, she lost to the in-form Jasmine Paolini in Dubai, but is once again in the finals of a tournament and is within range of securing a maiden title of the year.
She has had a lucky draw so far. After surviving a scare in the first round, Kalinskaya received two walkthroughs, placing her right in the semi-finals of Berlin. She got past two Grand Slam winners, Marketa Vondrousova and Aryna Sabalenka by walkover and beat Azarenka, another Major winner, in three sets to make it to the finals.
Now, Kalinskaya will have to wait for her opponent, the winner between Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff. It has been a great start to clay for the Russian, who would only hope to improve before Wimbledon.
