In the wake of the break-up rumors, Anna Kalinskaya decided not to give details about her relationship with Jannik Sinner. Kalinskaya was the cover star for Harper’s BAZAAR and she had instructed the magazine to not ask questions about the Italian.

Sinner and Kalinskaya started dating earlier in 2024 and the men’s World No.1 made the relationship public during the French Open in May. Even though both have attended each other’s matches, they have been tight-lipped about their dating life and the two-time Grand Slam champion even stated that they keep ‘everything very confidential’.

In the middle of 2024, she began dating year-end world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. At the time of writing, the status of that relationship was unclear. Crystal clear, on the other hand, was the pre-interview instruction to BAZAAR not to raise the topic.

The 23-year-old was also criticized for his remarks on having Kalinskaya as he said having a girlfriend doesn’t mean he ‘can’t afford to change as a player or as a person’. Despite the breakup rumors, there were reports that Sinner went to Miami to celebrate Kalinskaya’s birthday earlier this month. Sinner and Kalinskaya were last publicly spotted at the China Open.

I think [the key is to] change some things in my life — not training, but adjust a little bit my lifestyle to make it more simple, enjoy things on my off days to have a good balance. And have a better schedule to know when you can see your friends so you can be happier outside of the court. I can get recharged, so I can compete better and have more energy, and be better mentally.

Kalinskaya, unlike Jannik Sinner (who won eight titles), failed to win a title in 2024. She however progressed to two finals, at the Dubai Open and Berlin Open where she lost to Jasmine Paolini and Jessica Pegula respectively.

Apart from the two finals, the Russian made deep runs, advancing to the quarterfinals at the Australian Open. Because of her performances, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 14.
