“Could return to play in the next 7-10 days”: NBA Insider predicts Anthony Davis’ possible return timeline

Anthony Davis
The NBA has become the hub of impossibilities and mind blowing events. Recently the shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers put the Brooklyn Nets on a haunt. Their startling victory against the arguably greatest team in NBA has surprised everyone. The Eastern Conference juggernauts were drooling when the purple and gold put them on a 25-point deficit. The injury scare led every fan disheartened for the Los Angeles Lakers. The rumors around possible return timeline of the LA Lakers superstars has excited the NBA. Despite that NBA insider Dave McMenamin has given promising update on Anthony Davis’ return.
The Lakers locked horns against the Nets yesterday. In their matchup, the shorthanded Lakers surprisingly defeated the fan favorite title contenders by a margin of 25-points. Andre Drummond, the latest addition to Lakers’ squad registered his 2nd straight double-double game. Ben McLemore came off the bench and buried 5 straight three-pointers. This win hit all the critics and humiliation hard. But how long can Lakers survive being deficit of their superstars?
Anthony Davis to join the LA Lakers squad soon
A flurry of injuries has pulled down the Lakers from being on the top tier. Soon after AD and LeBron, Kyle Kuzma has also been benched for a few games now. Anthony Davis was out with an Achilles injury. His injury was just the staring of a long term, stress for the organization. It has been more than a month and Lakers played without a big man until Andre Drummond’s buyout. However, Dave McMenamin has revealed some promising news for the Lakers’ fans.
He tweeted, “Anthony Davis will be re-evaluated by team doctors on Thursday when the Lakers return to L.A. and could return to play in the next 7-8 days.”
Considering the injury history in the NBA, Lakers have been very careful with their wingman Davis. They ensured he was enough rested and planned a proper recover schedule for him. The franchise wants their big man to be completely healthy before the post-season games commence. Once Anthony Davis is back to squad, he will majorly focus on his shooting. Drummond can fulfil the requirements playing post-up and getting aggressive rebounds. Davis can easily work upon his elbow jumper and step-back shots. Lakers have made a faint comeback already, hopefully they continue it.
