The Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Dallas Mavericks 108-109 in a crunch game 2 of the Western Conference Playoff Finals. The Mavs now hold a 2-0 in this current series, needing just 2 wins to knock out the Timberwolves and advance to the NBA finals. On the other hand, even after losing 2 games in a row Timberwolves star man, Anthony Edwards seemed pretty relaxed after the game.

Edwards claimed after the game that his side, the Timberwolves did make certain mistakes that eventually ended up in their side’s loss. However, Edwards also claimed that despite losing two games, nobody in the dressing room is ‘panicking’ at the current stage of the series.

We've been here before. I don't think anyone in the locker room is panicking, I hope not...just come out and play your best basketball...we made some mistakes but...We'll be alright.

Apart from Edwards and Naz Reid, none of the Timberwolves’ players crossed the 20-point mark, which showcased their poor chance of converting in game 2.

On the contrary, the Dallas Mavericks star duo, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving put on a show in game 2 against the Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards calling out Kyrie Irving has backfired on him

The Minnesota Timberwolves knocked out the defending NBA champions, Denver Nuggets in round 2 of the NBA playoffs in game 7. Notably, Timberwolves’ star man, Anthony Edwards was over the moon after his side’s victory. However, Timberwolves’ next matchup was the Dallas Mavericks. Edwards seemed to make a bold admission regarding Mavs star player, Kyrie Irving.

My matchup [is] going to be Kyrie, So that's going to be fun. We're going to see what I can do versus him.

However, these words by Edwards have seemed to backfire quite badly on him.

After Edwards’ statement, nothing has gone his way as the Mavs and Kyrie Irving have got the better of him in game 1 and game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, with Dallas leading the current series 2-0. It remains to be seen now, how Edwards and Co. bounce back from this setback in game 3.
