After clinching the Gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Team USA stars have been in a joyful mood lately, with some stars in a partying and celebration mood. Similarly, Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant caught up with basketball analyst Jalen Rose, attending his show on Fanatics Fest recently. Notably, Edwards and Durant share a good bond and were also roommates during the Paris Olympics.

Rose, a former member of the popular “Fab Five” of the University of Michigan, jumped straight to an interesting topic. Rose turned to Ant-Man with only one question: what was the music playing in the locker room? Edwards’ answer stirred things up in an already ongoing controversy between two musicians Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

It’s important to note that Durant and rapper Drake have been longtime friends and his preference and alliance lie with the Canadian rapper. Despite Lamar and Drake’s ongoing rivalry, Durant made his choice known to the world.

Interestingly, Drake often mentions the Slim Reaper in his songs. The most memorable appearance, probably was when the song, ‘Champagne Papi’ dropped over for Kevin Durant’s 25th birthday in 2013. Just a year later, the 14-time All-Star returned the favor by attending the OVO Festival in Toronto.

Kevin Durant was spotted spending some quality time with Drake earlier this year

The ongoing feud between American rapper Kendrick Lamar and Canadian rapper Drake made many basketball stars pick sides. Notably, Team USA legend Kevin Durant made his feelings known, picking the Canadian over his country mate. In addition, Durant also met Drake in Canada earlier this year, spending some quality time with his favorite rapper.

Interestingly, the Canadian rapper and Phoenix Suns star were seen hanging out at Drake’s Toronto residence. Drake’s Instagram post includes a photo of the two appearing to smoke hookah as part of the Canada Day festivities. The two stars have been good friends for over a decade, and their bond continues to grow.

Currently, Durant is coming off a brilliant Olympic campaign in Paris with his nation, Team USA. Durant is the only player to win 4 consecutive Gold medals for his nation. Not only that, the Slim Reaper also broke the record for the USA basketball Olympics’ all-time scorer at the Paris Olympics.
