Anthony Edwards became one of the league’s favorite players during the first two rounds of the postseason. The 22-year-old’s performance, leadership quality, and tough mentality resulted in immense popularity for the guard. However, Ant-Man has not been able to live up to expectations in the Western Conference finals.
The Minnesota Timberwolves lost one more game with Anthony Edwards‘ yet another poor shooting night. Ant-Man was even worse than Game 1 from the field, as he only made five shots from 17 attempts. To make matters worse, Edwards also had two poor turnovers during the final seconds and one resulted in the game-winner by Luka Doncic.
Ant-Man’s performance has dropped the Timberwolves 0-2 against the Dallas Mavericks. In 40 minutes, the guard scored 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists with 29.4 FG% and 28.6% from the three-point line. Edwards was also not much of a help on the opposite side of the court.

Edwards has been getting compared to the greats of the game throughout this season. One name that was mentioned prominently was the superstar Michael Jordan. Many compared the style, mentality, and performance of both the shooting guards. However, now it seems like the game followers are changing their opinions.

In Edwards’ no-show, the rest of the Timberwolves stars also could not do much in the loss. Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert combined for only 31 points and also had poor defensive efforts. The team now has to face the Mavericks at home for Game 3 which will be held on Sunday.
