The Timberwolves have defeated the Nuggets in a thrilling Game 7.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have snatched Game 7 from the reigning champions at their home with sheer dominance in the second half. The T-Wolves might have just shown the NBA world one of the best comebacks in Game 7 history. The young team is headed to the Western Conference finals after 20 long years.

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets had things under control to start the game, but the Minnesota Timberwolves came out strong to take over. Nuggets maintained their lead throughout the second quarter with Jamal Murray‘s incredible 24-point outing. Denver had a 53-38 lead at halftime, but the glory did not last long.

The Timberwolves caught fire in the third quarter as they went on a 20-3 run regardless of Anthony Edwards‘ quiet night. The visiting team took advantage of the Nuggets’ poor shooting in the third and turned out their offense. Karl Anthony Towns, Mike Conley, and Jaden McDaniels took over the T-Wolves’ offense to outscore the Nuggets in the third.
