Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury – the fight, the whole boxing world have been waiting for; and it looks like the boxing community will be soon witnessing it, as both the parties have signed the deal, with only the date and the venue to be decided. The contract has been signed for a two-fight deal, with the fight expected to take place sometime in mid-2021 (this year).
Anthony Joshua’s promoter and Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn told SkySports in an interview that he and his team will be working hard with Tyson Fury’s team to confirm the venue and date for the all-Brit super fight, while also confirming that both the parties have signed the contract.
‘We will be working hard over the next few weeks to confirm the site and date for the biggest fight in boxing‘
Eddie Hearn was quoted as saying, “All parties have now put pen to paper and we will be working hard over the next few weeks to confirm the site and date for the biggest fight in boxing.”
Anthony Joshua is coming off a knockout victory over Kubrat Pulev, on the 12th of December, last year, thereby successfully defending his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. According to Eddie Hearn, AJ has never stopped training since his victory over Pulev.
Tyson Fury, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since his stunning victory over previously undefeated Deontay Wilder on the 22nd of February, last year, at MGM Grand Garden Arena, thereby winning the WBC and vacant The Ring heavyweight titles.
