Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev will have an attendance of 1000 fans at the SSE Arena, Wembley
The highly anticipated Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev is inching closer and it will take place on the 12th of December at Wembley Arena.
Both the heavyweights have just lost one fight in their career and the match surely promises to be a cracker. Kubrat is coming off a victory against Rydell Booker, while Anthony Joshua last faced Andy Ruiz Jr. in the rematch, which saw him regain his titles, having lost to him in the previous match.
Speaking of this, Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that 1000 fans will be allowed in the stadium.
“It’s great to have a 1000 people win” – Eddie Hearn
Eddie Hearn had said yesterday, “The focus for us is getting live fans in at the moment. We are very very close to an announcement…to actually announce that we could bring fans back. And that’s what we hope to achieve in the next 48 hours. So, 1000 tickets hopefully… It’s great to have a 1000 people in, but it’s still gonna be quite strange because every AJ fight is 80000, 90000 or 20000 at a sold out arena with full capacity.”
“I can’t tell you how happy I am to see fans returning to our live boxing events” – Eddie Hearn
Eddie Hearn and Match Room Boxing confirmed that 1000 fans will be allowed. Speaking of which he said, “I can’t tell you how happy I am to see fans returning to our live boxing events. Whilst the team have done an incredible job over the last 10 months we live and breathe through the energy and atmosphere that a live crowd generates.
He continued, “It’s so fitting that they can return for an AJ fight, when through the last few years he has broken all kinds of attendance records in the U.K. and beyond. This is such a positive move for boxing and all sport. Welcome back!”
What do you make of this match? Will Kubrat Pulev upset Anthony Joshua like Andy Ruiz Jr. did 18 months ago? Or will it be the AJ show all the way?
