There has been a new development in Antonio Brown’s whereabouts. Amidst the ongoing investigation of an attempted murder, Brown confessed to having left the country.

While the police continue their search for the 36-year-old Miami native, Brown reportedly packed his bags and jetted away to a different land. Brown tweeted on Saturday.

I’m out the country ain’t no more Child Support tell your mama get a job.

Last week, Brown uploaded a video on the social media platform, notifying his fans that he was no longer in the US. He was seen biking around in an unfamiliar setting. The caption of the video vaguely hinted at his location.

The Miami-Dade police are searching for Brown after an attempted murder warrant was issued against him. During an incident with a security detail outside of a celebrity boxing fight in Miami, Brown allegedly fired two shots from his weapon. Cell phone footage from the skirmish incriminated Brown, and he is now wanted.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver assured his fans that he was gathering a few lawyers to defend himself. His latest tweet suggested that he has had a change of heart.

Antonio Brown has had run-ins with the authorities several times

Brown was a beast on the gridiron. He bagged 7 Pro Bowls and 4 All-Pro accolades, along with lifting the Lombardi Trophy in the 2020-21 season. However, he rarely kept himself in check when not in football gear. As a result, the authorities called on him on various occasions.

In 2022, a civil court ordered Brown to pay $1.2 million in damages for assaulting a truck driver two years earlier. He had to take anger management classes.

Tampa Police issued an arrest warrant for Brown in 2022 after a woman complained that he allegedly threw a shoe at her. Fortunately for Brown, the cops withdrew the warrant, and no charges were filed.

That’s not all. In 2023 announced that he had taken charge as the owner of the indoor football league team Albany Empire, which he later denied, citing that he was not a US citizen despite being born and raised in Miami, Florida. The league later terminated Brown’s agreement after he failed to pay the league for dues and fines that he owed.

On the brighter side, Brown has been a vocal advocate for spreading awareness of CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). During an episode of the CTESPN podcast with former Steelers teammate Le’Veon Bell, Brown spoke about what it meant to have CTE.

I feel like people try to frame CTE as a concussion you may have, but yo, we had a bunch of concussions. You know what I’m saying, like, you could live after a concussion. I feel like it’s a characteristic of traumas that we all as people go through. Any kid having to go through that is building some kind of trauma because now, as a kid, you just become more aggressive. You develop anger.
