While innumerable sports fanatics are sharing posts and taking to social media to show their love for their favorite athletes who are winning medals at the world’s biggest sporting extravaganza, many other stars are also going viral at the same time who aren’t even part of the Paris Olympics. One such celebrity is Chou Tzuyu.

Tzuyu is a member of the Korean K-Pop group TWICE. Recently, her older clips of practicing archery have been making the rounds on the internet, with fans mistaking her for a South Korean archer in Paris.

Where is Chou Tzuyu from?

Born on June 14, 1999, Chou Tzuyu is a Taiwanese K-Pop artist, who is part of the girl group TWICE. Tzuyu has been in the news as videos of her participating in archery have started circulating on the internet all over again. Some claim she is part of China’s Olympic contingent, while others are linking her to the Korean and Taiwanese teams.

However, the reality is completely different. Tzuyu has absolutely nothing to do with the Olympics. The viral videos of Tzuyu’s archery are not from the Olympics but from the time when she participated in the Idol Star Athletics Championships. Tzuyu is an archery fan and has participated in the ISAC on several occasions.

A key member of the renowned group ‘TWICE’, the talented singer shot into the limelight when her group’s “Like OOH-AHH” became the first K-pop debut song to reach 100 million views on YouTube.

Since her singing debut, the leading lady has also been featured in several advertisements and has worked as a presenter for numerous Korean music television shows.
