Argentina is set to face France in the final of 2022 FIFA World Cup

After defeating Germany in the 2014 Fifa World Cup Final, they lost to Chile in the 2016 Copa America Final. Argentina just barely managed to qualify for the 2018 Fifa World Cup, only to be eliminated in the Round of 16. However, in 2021 the team finally achieved victory, with a win against Brazil in the Copa America Final, earning Messi his first international trophy.
