Arsenal defeat Chelsea in FA-Cup Final

Arsenal defeated 10 men Chelsea at Wembly stadium in the FA-Cup final. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice to secure a 2-1 victory against Chelsea. The Gunners took revenge of their Europa league defeat in Baku last year.
Although it was Chelsea who took an early lead through Christian Pulisic in 5th minute of the first half. Mason Mount sent a grounded ball into the box which was flicked by Olivier Giroud. Pulisic finished the move with a responsive quick touch and a chip of the ball over Emiliano. Arsenal man Nicolas Pepe almost scored from curled a stunning shot from outside the box. But the effort was ruled offside.
However Arsenal equalized through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty in 28th minute. Aubameyang was bought down in the box by Cesar Azpilicueta and referee Anthony Taylor pointed to the penalty spot.
Chelsea injury Crisis
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea were hit by an in-game injury crisis as Azpilicueta and Pulisic had to be substituted due to injury. Azpilicueta had to be taken off due to an injury in the 32nd minute. Pulisic had to be subsisted in the second half due to a Hamstring problem.
Aubameyang broke the deadlock in the 67th minute with amazing finish. A Quick pass from Pepe saw Aubameyang provide a dinking finish of the ball over Willy Caballero.
Chelsea suffered another major blow as Kovacic was red carded for a sliding tackle on Granit Xhaka. Which saw him earn a second yellow card. But more bad news followed as Pedro had to be stretchered with shoulder injury in dying minutes of the game. This saw Chelsea finish the game with 9 men.
This FA-Cup final win over Chelsea has guaranteed Arsenal a spot in next year’s Europa League. Arsenal now have won the FA-Cup for 14 times now.
