Bayern Munich rolled up to Villa Park on Wednesday night fully expecting to claim all three points. However, as destiny had it, Unai Emery‘s men were set to etch their names in history as they claimed a thrilling, hard-fought 1-0 victory over German giants Bayern. A late goal from man on fire Jhon Duran and a world class display from Emiliano Martinez helped The Villans pick up a second consecutive win in the UCL.
Fans were delighted to see Villa play their best game against a side like Bayern, who seldom let chances go by without punishing their opposition. After a nervy 79 minutes or so, Jhon Duran, who had only been on the pitch for 9 minutes, found himself through on goal.
